Short answer
The owner whose link you opened has hit Tesla's cap of 10 order referrals for the calendar year. Tesla's FAQ is explicit: once that limit is reached, “buyers who place their order using your referral link will not receive any buyer benefits.” Don't order through it — open a different owner's link first.

Instead of “Order with [Name]'s Referral” and a card per model with its benefit, Tesla's referral page opens with “[Name]'s Referral Limit Has Been Reached”, and the model cards carry no benefit line. We saw this on US referral pages captured on Sep 10 and Oct 3, 2026. The page still lets you browse and order — which is exactly the trap: nothing stops you, but nothing is attached for you either.
Tesla's terms allow each owner up to 10 order referrals per calendar year (Tesla's Refer and Earn support page (read Jun 15, 2026)). The cap belongs to the owner, not to you. Your eligibility as a first-time buyer is untouched; you just need a link from someone who still has referrals left.
Don't configure from it.

The page should say “Order with [Name]'s Referral” and show a benefit for your model.
A site built around one owner's code stops working for buyers once that owner is capped — and some then say the offer “has ended”. That's their code, not Tesla's program: Tesla's US referral page for an uncapped code showed a live benefit on Oct 2, 2026. A site with a pool of codes, like this one, picks a different code on each visit, which spreads referrals out; it can't guarantee none of them is capped, so the check above still applies.
